OWENDO

Mission Statement

OWENDO is a rural community based organization, which aims at providing and promoting, integrated quality community based services. The goal is improving the welfare of orphans (through foster families), widows, elderly, and needy people - in rural communities.

Orphans

About Us

OWENDO is a visionary organization, that works to address several important issues, of the most vulnerable members of society. It seeks to keep families together, and works hard to assist orphaned children in staying in school.

Orphan

We are currently looking for support/funding to help implement projects, that will help orphans of AIDS affected families, widows, needy, and elderly.

Volunteering

OWENDO - Uganda has many opportunities and vacancies for individuals, mission groups, families, and professionals, who are interested in serving orphans, widows, elderly, and the needy, in the rural heart of Uganda.

Videography

Missionaries from Australia making a videography, in one of the foster homes within our catchment area. Sharing Christ to the needy.

OWENDO is open to whatever your interests and desires are, in supporting the children of Uganda. However, some specific areas of need are: Missionaries and Ministers of the Word, painters, administrators, construction workers, students interested in carrying out research, and those who may just want to reach out to the villages - all are welcome.

The opportunities we have, stretch wide in all aspects of OWENDO's operations. We have open doors for anyone with a heart to reach out, and serve orphans and widows in Uganda - you will find exciting projects, to bring God's love to these underprivileged people.

Projects

Piggery, goats, and rabbits, for the widow and orphan support project. Families have different interests in animal keeping. OWENDO allows widows and orphans, to choose which animals they need to keep, in order to raise income.

RabbitGoatPigs

You can choose to support, by buying an animal - for an orphan, or widow.

A variety of handmade crafts are also available, to help fund the organization. Place an order below.
