I've been saved since 1974. Or should I say, that's when I KNEW I was saved because that's when I spoke in tongues. I am a firm believer that every one who is born of God's spirit, has the ability to worship, pray and give thanks by way of that spirit (aka: speak in tongues.) For more on this, see blog entries above)

And since then, I have been on a path that sometimes makes you feel like you are on top of the world and sometimes leads you to say: "what the heck is going on in my life!"
But you keep on keepin' on because you know God loves you. How do you know God loves you? Because He gave His only begotten son (a.k.a. Jesus) that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. That's the foundation and it never fluctuates no matter what you are going through.

Pretty average person, as religion continues to be exposed and removed from my life (a work in progress). And by religion, I don't mean devoutness, as the word is usually defined. I mean man-made rules which bind up the person, laying upon them unnecessary burdens which derail them from the path towards truth. Or, as Jesus put it referring to the false ministers of the day:

"...they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers."(Matthew 23:4)

He also said:

"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." (Matthew 23:13)

I remember back in the 70's when they came out with the "un-religion" . They knew that we were on to organized religion so they approached us from a new angle. They taught us of the failure of the religious approach to God while positively asserting that their group was not a religion. Thought you were safe but, dang it, it was just religion in disguise again. A good lesson learned. It's not what they say but what they do that counts.

And then, once you get out from under the yolk of "organized" religion, you have your own religion (self-imposed rules to righteousness) to be delivered from. A whitewash we all hide under in the flesh (be it before men or God) which serves as a cover for sin rather than the deliverance from it. Only the power of God in Christ can deliver us from this tricky one.

Anyhow, all I can say is, it just feels better being a person again, relieved of the pressure of trying to be or pretending to be some "perfect" one.

I've been through a lot and my learning process has been hard. Maybe that's how it is for everybody but, for some reason, most of the people I know (excluding my husband) don't seem to be going through the same process, so I almost always feel like an alien around them. But, there is an upside to that. It helps with the "trying to fit in" malady we're all plagued with. I now understand that I will never fit in but that's good. It has been quite freeing. I am now cut loose to be who I am.

Speaking in Tongues

Jesus said that one of the signs following those who believed in His name would be that they would speak in new tongues (languages). (Mark 16:17)

What Must I Do to be Saved?

The Giving of the Gift - Saved by Grace

JOHN 3:6&7
Flesh gives birth to flesh but Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, "You must be born again."

Now, obviously, if you are reading this, you have already experienced the first birth...the natural birth. Flesh gave birth to flesh which gained you entrance into the natural world. But Jesus was speaking here of another birth...a spiritual birth that one must experience in order to gain access into the Kingdom of God which is a spiritual kingdom.

I don't mind downloading it if you don't mind uploading it. You can get free zip programs at places like www.tucows.com.

My software works at the 32bit 96,000 level on audio but you don't need to send the file in that format. 16 bit 48,000 is pretty good (beyond CD quality) and we are talking about a poor recording to begin with (quality wise).

You can compress them as MP3's and make them 320 bitrate instead of 128 bitrate. It isn't as good as wave but doesn't shave that much off the quality and they are smaller than wave files.

On noisy files like those it might not make any difference to the result. I can convert them from 320 bit MP3 to wave and then to any format you want when they are cleaned.

They were not part of the auto-accompaniment but rather my attempt at real keyboard playing. Guitar comes easy to me but not that. However, with enough time to work on something specific - I can pull it off.

yousendit.com allows you to send songs that are up to 100MB for free. You could put them in a folder, zip it and send
both at once that way (kengrich@yahoo.ca is the address)

If you want me to use a different pic to promote you in our cube and Facebook page just let me know. The resolution
is "grainy" on the one I'm using now. A 400 by 400 pic works good for that or an album cover if you have one. I make
album covers if you want one done. (I did Earl Hussey's, Maxine Hindy's, mine and both of Dave Butler's). Charity cases one and all - LOL.
