"Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." "So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself." Ephesians 5:21-24, 28

Our challenge today!

The bible teaches us to submit one to another. It is never meant that one should rule over the other, but that both should submit to each other as unto the Lord. There are many out there that teach that a man should "rule" his wife, but this is not true. A man should submit to Christ's authority and love his wife as Christ loves the church. A wife should submit to her husband in the same way - as unto the Lord. There is only one Lord and Jesus is Lord of all! Love does not demand it’s own way. Love is not selfish; in fact real love considers others above themselves.
